Back from SDCC/blog revamp

Got back from San Diego just yesterday evening and I'm still on West Coast time.

A shoutout of many thanks to the great CCS friends who made this possible- Chris Houghton and Kassandra Heller for their couch services and great cat company (great illustrators, btw), Jon, Victoria, Justin and Chris for the San Diego nerdy hangout, and the great artists, vendors, teachers, business people, and staff/fans who work to make SDCC happen every July!

Also a deep thank you to my roommate Joslyn and my former roommate Katie for rides to and from the airport.

More updates will be coming in after I get my blog in order here and edit some things. For now, I will leave you with my con doodle, some photos of my wall swag studio and the wonderful San Diego coastline.

SDCC!

Just a heads up to people who bother to read my blog- new updates coming soon (and a major revamp of my blogspot layout/eventual tumblr site) when I return from San Diego Comic Con this week! First solo flight for this barely 20 year old nerdy girl from the Midwest.

I am so excited to attend such an event and I'll be really stoked to share my experience once I take as many photos and souvenirs as I can! I even made a Zot! necklace in the event I meet Scott McCloud:

I'll also be in LA briefly to visit studios and CCS friends, so I'm currently making some handmade business cards for the visits! :D

In other news, I am working in ink and watercolors again and I'll have updates for some new works after this week. I might be working on bigger projects in the future, but that's undecided as for now (I have to show some chops first).

This trip will be spectacular in more ways than one. Bon Voyage!

rusty with watercolors, DIA trips

So I've been busy, but I have few opportunities to update. Still trying to learn photoshop.

Friday nights I go to the DIA and draw from statues and etc. They set up drawing ponies and clipboards in a random location every session (6-9pm).

I just found out that Cliff's Saturday Drawing Sessions are also available in the summer and now I must try to attend every single one. I did, however, attend the Scarab Club's Saturday model session this past weekend, along with a major biking trip (scratched my inner thigh when I almost crashed into a lamppost).
And I'm still working on stuff from Jerk and Draw/ making my business cards.
